Milledgeville reports the death of Dr. L M Jones 72 longtime superintendent of the Georgia state sanitarium since 1907 after an attack of erysipelas. He served 41 years at the sanitarium and led a staff treating over 4000 patients yearly. Born in Twiggs County he leaves a widow and children including Dr Will O Jones of New Orleans hospital.

Fire kills four Budaka children in Chicago blaze
Four of six Budaka children died in a Chicago fire that also severely burned their parents and two other children. Firemen believe an overheated stove started the blaze, which partially destroyed the family home. Firefighters rescued the mother and one child and recovered the four bodies.

The Floyd County Farm Bureau saved 8,090 in 570 tons of fertilizers. Cooperatives saved 242,441.00 selling hogs and 8,650.00 selling cattle. only 13,110.00 worth of cotton was sold. county agents helped market cattle hogs corn potatoes and other crops through the plan. Demonstrations in preparing products for marketing will be part of the state college conference January 23-27.

Funeral forms announce funeral services for Lawrence Parker. The rites will be held Saturday at 8 a.m. from the residence of Mr. and Mrs. A. Parker, with Rev. G. Ves pastor and Rev.
