Missouri Pacific Express Wreck Near Sulphur Kills Many
A collision between Missouri Pacific passenger express No 4 and train No 32 near Sulphur, twenty miles south of St Louis, left at least 40 dead and about 60 injured. The wreck tore wooden cars loose, sent coaches into a creek, and created a battlefield scene as rescue teams rushed in.
