A large force started preparatory paving yesterday on Prince avenue at the uptown fire hall where the brick surface ends. Fleeing Arresting Officer Led to River Drowning
Robert Warren, a twenty year old colored boy, fled a police pursuit and drowned in the Oconee river near College Avenue bridge. Authorities reported seven bone artists captured. Warren was last seen about mid river, then disappeared underwater and was found later with no injuries. An inquest ruled accidental drowning, with no rocks or pistols involved.

Jefferson Ga August 4 Rev R B McGarrity opened Jackson superior court with prayer Judge C H Brand presiding and urging wisdom for judges and fairness for lawyers.
