University Faces Acute Athens Space Crisis
Athens officials warn the University of Georgia will exceed housing and dining capacity for the 1921 22 session. Only three small male dormitories and one for women, plus a single dining hall with 350 seats, threaten expansion under tight funding. Legislative cuts from 95 000 to 76 000 risk delaying progress and prompt calls for university support. Female officials and rising female leadership in Athens are also discussed as a future trend.
