Patrolman Ware spotted the blaze and the Muncie fire department quickly extinguished it. Smoke and water caused additional minor damage to the interior. no one was injured and residents remained in place.

County Officials to Meet Tomorrow at Agricultural College
The second annual convention of the Eighth District Association of County Commissioners will be held at the Agricultural College on Wednesday. Presdent J. M. Hodgson of the local county board will preside. County boards from towns in the district will attend along with a large visitor delegation to Athens. Invitations have been sent to Clarke county and other counties, with representatives likely from all districts. The state highway department will send members, including TG. Farmer, director of the $75,000,000 Georgia road bond project, who will start the speakers’ program. WW. R. Neal, state highway engineer, will attend, as will GC. H. Howard, recently resigning as highway department special attorney.

Mrs. R. Price of Athens files suit in Clarke County Court for 2500 damages against Athens Railway and Electric Company alleging injuries while a passenger on a train on the eighth of the month. The filing was made in the clerk’s office.
Funeral for Bishop Beatty Held in Nashville and Memphis
The Rev. Troy Beatty coadjutor of the Tennessee diocese died at his Nashville home after a brief illness of double pneumonia. Funeral services were held in Nashville at Christ Church and in Memphis at Grace Church with Bishop Gailor and clergy assisting. Interment at Elmwood Cemetery. Beatty survived by wife Miss Mayhew and three children, with several relatives and clergy from Vanderbilt and Sewanee attending.
