The Clarke County School Superintendent presents the 1915 annual report to the Grand Jury detailing school counts, teacher totals, pupil enrollment and attendance, term length, and school property values. It notes low term attendance, calls for more funding or legal changes, and lists finances, insured properties, and board member terms.
United States Weather Bureau forecast through 7 p.m. Saturday notes fair conditions for Athens and vicinity and Georgia with tonight and Saturday generally fair. Beneficial showers were reported in the eastern cotton belt with several stations over an inch. Mobile recorded 3.72 inches. Showers extended north into the Ohio valley and lake region. A Minnesota center low pressure indicates fair west of the Mississippi except extreme northwest where improving. Temperatures drop into the 30s in the west with snow in parts of the Dakotas and Colorado.

The city schools announce annual examinations for applicants in the College avenue building with separate dates for Colored applicants on May 13 and White applicants on May 20, from 9:00 to 5:00. The Madison A M high school team travels to Sanford Field to face Athens Highs for two games on Monday and Tuesday. The matchups are expected to draw a large crowd.
A preliminary statement from the Census Bureau compares 1909 and 1914 Georgia manufacture totals. It notes exclusion of hand and building trades and small-value establishments and defines establishment scope. Population figures are given for 1910 and 1914 estimates. Music teachers in Macon Georgia organized the Georgia Music Teachers Association today and plan annual meetings in conjunction with the Georgia Educational Association. Miss Jeannie Craig of Macon originated the idea and many teachers attended the initial gathering.
