Commander Thierfelder asked the United States for time to repair the Kronprinz Wilhelm in Newport News. The request, likely for three weeks, will be decided in Washington with the ship expected to intern despite Allied ships off Virginia. He pledged to sail again if allowed.
The biennial Woodmen of the World in Georgia convened at the Colonial Opera House in Athens with six to seven hundred delegates from camps statewide. Dr. F. L. Rosenthal presided. parade, ceremonies, and a large processional program highlighted the event with speeches from city leaders and visiting sovereigns. Election of officers is scheduled today, with potential races for Bruns and Savannah contenders amid a lively, well attended program.
Despite local attractons and distractions a large crowd filled the Young Harris tent for two top meetings with strong supernatural influence. Eleven new converts and four rejoinings united with the church as prayer and conversion signs appeared. Delegates enjoy hospitality from the chamber of commerce with ice cream and theater outings while evening programs entertain at the State Normal School and University of Georgia visits. The rest room provided a busy retreat for visitors.
