A notice urges residents to register at the courthouse with Tax Collector Linton before the upcoming elections. It warns that failure to register will bar participation in county, state, and governor elections this year and must be completed by Tuesday evening.
The Georgia Pharmaceutical Association's annual meeting, planned for May 17 and 18 in this city, has been postponed to early June likely June 7 and 8. The change accommodates members attending the national pharmacists convention and is urged by Thad Wright and R C Wilson who handle local arrangements.
The First Methodist Church announces Sunday preaching moved from 11:00 to 11:15 to allow longer Sunday school time. Protracted meetings begin tomorrow with Presiding Elder W. S. Sant Lal Gorowala, son of Hari Rami Gorowala, from Pachhar in Gwalior state India, enrolls as a special course student at the University of Georgia. He transfers from the University of California after two years of study and will study cotton industry farm mechanics horticulture and animal industry in Athens. His father is a prominent Gwalior official.
Neighbors wake Mr White and his wife as fire consumes the back of their house on Pulaski Street and Prince Avenue. The two small children were aided to safety as firefighters prevent full destruction of the building. A pan of ashes is suspected to have started the fire.
Clarke County Georgia commissioners twice refused to honor orders from the State Prison Commission and Tatnall County demanding twenty felony convicts under a two year contract. The dispute centers on 1910 quotas and Clarke County’s claim the agreement and related costs, including gear and guard expenses, justify holding the convicts through the contract term.

Death claimed Mr. George Potter yesterday at his home on Limpkin Street. The cause was Bright’s disease, after months of suffering. He was fifty six and had resided in Athens for some time. The remains will leave the city at 4 16 this afternoon. Potter is survived by Frash Strawberries. Today at Williamson's.
Joe Mathews a 70 plus old Col. known as the oldest tiger in the area was brought in by Bailiff Frank Wood from his cottage home in Bradberry district. He recalls a prior arrest for passing a doctored greenback but was released when the white man who provided the note admitted fault.

Miss Gertrude Pickrell sails to Walesca to matriculate at Rhinehardt tollags for completing her education there. She plans to take special music courses during her stay.
