Life of Susan Fleener Ends Peacefully at 81
Mrs. Susan A Fleener one of Wallowa county's first settlers died peacefully at 12 30 a m Thursday at her daughter s home in Athena aged 81 years seven months and 23 days She was cared for by her daughters and spent years with Mrs KE Parkyn in Lewiston Idaho She moved to Athena to spend her final weeks with her eldest daughter and was noted for intelligence domestic skill and strong interest in national affairs She leaves six sons three daughters 22 grandchildren and seven great grandchildren Mrs Fleener was a Christian lifelong and burial will be in Joseph Wallowa county where funeral is held today.
