The Highlander Entertainers opened the students lecture course with a Monday night show at the Athena Opera House. Proceeds gave the school 25 percent, leaving nearly ten dollars after expenses. Mr. Spencer lent the house for five dollars.
New agency Farm Landa lists 80 acres of wheat land with orchard, six room house and barn near Athena. Also offerings include 480 acres in Umatilla county with houses and barns eight miles from Athena, and several smaller parcels near Athena priced up to 25 000. Also notice of final account by Byron Hawks executor for Margaret Bonifer deceased hearing October 30 1909 at 3 pm in Pendleton County Court with objections due by October 29 1909.
