Liquor Ring Supplying Students Believed Broken Up
Moscow Idaho reports the bootlegging ring that shipped alcohol to University of Idaho students and Washington State College at Pullman is believed detangled after the arrest of C B Lawson 27 and his wife Mildred 24. Five gallons of grain alcohol doctored to gin were seized near the city in a joint federal state operation led by Sheriff Charlie Summerfield. Ten and 15 gallon lots were shipped labeled anti freeze and gears case oil. The Lawsons bonded $1000 each and remain in custody while officers seek other ring members and trace shipments from California.
