Breakes Jail and Gains Liberty in Broad Light of Day
Joe Parr escaped from Stansville county jail after three months’ confinement for horse stealing. He crawled through a 7 by 15 inch window, dropped 12 to 15 feet, and fled east to the reservation with a ready horse. Brother Henry is heavier and could not fit the opening. Ike may have spirited away the getaway horses. Deputies and trackers close in, with Capt. Simpkin on the trail.
