The Interior Secretary halts all hunting and fishing on the Umatilla Reservation after reports of dynamite use harming fish. Major Corn W. Harper, the agent, had allowed fishing but enforcement now strict. violators face heavy state penalties. Tests show flesh resembles beef in appearance and texture, with many tasters approving though disapproving of eating horse.
