Oregon Supreme Court永久 disbarment for Joseph and Mannix
The Oregon Supreme Court ordered permanent disbarment of George W. Joseph and three-year disbarment for Tomas Mannix after referees had recommended it. Justice Bean dissented on Joseph’s harsher outcome and on Mannix’s proposed suspension. Joseph, a governor nominee, attacked the court. Mannix filed the action against him, sparking a courtroom feud. Joseph had ran on a platform of free press and free speech in the May 16 Republican gubernatorial primary.
