Fatal Runaway Kills Charles Wilson Near Weston
A Sunday night runaway near John Bannister's place killed 28 year old Charles Wilson and injured Will Duffy Frank Pambron Percy Wilson and Roy Walker. Wilson died from a fractured skull and a broken neck. Duffy suffered pelvic injuries and internal damage. Pambron broke an arm while Percy Wilson and Roy Walker were badly bruised. The crash occurred before nine o'clock as the team driven by Wilson struck a telephone pole at the McDonald road junction. Wilson's body was moved to Miller's undertaking rooms in Athena and Duffy to Walla Walla as coroner Folsom declared no inquest needed. Funeral services for Wilson were held Tuesday afternoon at Miller's, under the Redmen, his frugal, married life noted among friends.

Gathering of the Caledonians at Umatilla County reunion
The twelfth annual Umatilla County Caledonian Society gathering opens in cool weather with Scotch dances songs and reels. A street parade carnival at City Park and afternoon baseball games draw attendees. Portland Caledonians join the program and a concert at the opera house is planned tonight. Next Friday and Saturday Wor ton hosts the sixteenth Pioneer reunion as old members convene.

Weston Tig Time Reunion Sets Notable Program
A big reunion at Weston next week features an excellent program and ample entertainment for the crowds. Transportation by hack and automobile between the city and Weston is planned. Miss Minnie Naylor, a respected local teacher, has improved her district school on Lower Butter Creek, holding Arbor Day and planting trees. An entertainment raised funds to buy athletic equipment and supplies, and a windmill project is planned to irrigate the school yard. Irene Rhea, winner in Athena’s class O oratorical contest, attends Miss Naylor’s school.
