Lucinda Hiteman dies after long illness widow of John Hiteman
Lucinda Streeter Hiteman died Tuesday afternoon at her daughter Ida Dell's home in Athena Oregon after three years of declining health. Born July 4 1843 in Van Buren County Iowa she married John H Hiteman December 1869. Funeral held at Christian church with many mourners. She is survived by daughter Ida Dell son BI Hiteman Berkeley and siblings Sarah Burner Louisa Scott Ollie Sellars along with several brothers.

Mrs. Fannie Wright wife of Robert Wright died May 14 at her sister Mrs D H Mansfelds home in Athena after months of illness. She was born January 8 1808 in Milton Oregon and burial followed in Walla Walla. She leaves her husband two children Stanley Weight of Umupine and Mrs C C Loney of Wal and a half sister Mrs W B Je of Hcho. She belonged to the Pioneer Methodist church of Walla Walla.

The rooms glowed with hospitality and arranged entertainment added informal charm while a midnight collation of ices waters and coffee followed. Upon departure Mrs Erratt received a magnificent bouquet of ten roses from the hosts.
