The Silver Star motion picture theatre at Freewater was destroyed by a Friday night fire started in the operating room. Patrons evacuated calmly as Milton and Freewater fire crews fought the blaze with Walla Walla dispatches. Loss estimated in the thousands. manager was C. E. Wallis. The incident leaves the Twin Cities without a local cinema.
