Congress Ends In A Bitter Filibuster
Washington D C The 6th congress collapsed after a bitter filibuster killing major bills from widows pensions to 125 million public buildings and the second deficiency bill. Vice President Dawes denounced the senate rule dispute while Reed of Missouri sought to extend his campaign fund probe. The failure halts veteran loans raises, suspends pension increases, delays hospital care, and postpones Cape Cod canal sale funds. Coolidge rejects an extra session.
