Brook trout for Umatilla River waters proposed

Dr J D Plamondon of the Athena Rod and Gun Club seeks a Bureau of Fisheries assignment of brook trout to stock the Umatilla River and possibly Pine Creek. Obstructions at Pine Creek mouth may need removal. photos and owner names will be sent to Pendleton deputy game and fish warden for action. The Umatilla forks will be stocked regardless.

Family Murder Suspect Named in Honolulu Case

Honolulu March 6. Strychnine found in the stomach of Mrs. Stanford. High Sheriff Henry announced the finding and said a Stanford family member in San Francisco is believed to be the murderer. The sheriff will reveal the name to San Francisco detectives on arrival and will not confirm if it has been wired to police there.

Woman lectures to aid Oregon Lewis and Clark exhibit

Mrs Edyth Tosser Weatherred of Portland tours Oregon promoting the public school exhibit for the Lewis and Clark fair. She moves on to Weston for tonight’s lecture and will lecture in the city tomorrow. Proceeds help fund the exhibit while stereopticon views of the St Louis exposition accompany the talk.
