The Athena Rd Crows auxiliary will be in the Milton Strawberry Red Cross Day parade next Tuesday. A meeting of all lady members is set for Monday at 2:00 pm at the school house to discuss arrangements. The Red Grass society dance Tuesday night drew a large crowd and $46.50 for the Red Cross fund. Johnson's orchestra played for nearly free and new members Mrs Myra Reeder and Alvan Jobinson joined. Work at the school house continues Wednesday afternoon.

Death of China Joe Pioneer Sparks Alaska Memory
China Joe, lifelong Juneau resident and Alaska pioneer, died May 14 in his shop basement where he ran a bakery and garden.
