Caledonian Picnic Opens with City Handover and Programs
The tenth annual Umatilla County Caledonian Society picnic began with Mayor McEwen handing the keys to the Caledonians. A full two day program followed featuring Athena Band performances, dances by the Pottage Sisters, vocal solos, bagpipes, Highland flings, and various addresses in City Park and the Opera House, plus baseball and Broncho Busting events. The Knights of Pythias and artesian prospects were also noted in nearby activities.

Pioneers Reunion in Weston Draws Large Crowds and Parades
