Oregon Legislature Opens Fifth Session With Officers Elected
The Oregon legislature met for the 25th time Monday with Jay Bowerman of Condon elected president of the senate and O. N. McArthur of Multnomah Speaker of the house. W. M. Barry and W. Fred Drager were named chief clerks of the senate and house, respectively, as the session began with orderly organization and first readings of bills amid a mood of harmony.
