Flooded three times lumber yard damaged
The lower Main Street area flooded again with meltwater from the flat on Monday and Tuesday. Tum-a-Lum Lumber yard sustained more damage as the boardwalk caved in and a new foundation was required. Front office foundation weakened and ditches washed through parts of the yard.

American Legion poster shows progress of service in February
The American Legion in Athena will display a poster on Foster-Kleiser billboards through February depicting the Legion’s first decade. The artwork by Chester A. Aged Man Found Dead Near Pendleton Rail Line
The body of a man aged between 70 and 80 was found on the railroad right of way east of Pendleton last Friday afternoon. A fireman on a passing freight train spotted the body and notified county officials. Four Thousand Chicks Expected February 20

Mr. and Mrs. J. B. Ross of Walla Walla celebrated their Golden wedding anniversary with a Weston lodge hall banquet for about thirty guests on Saturday February 4. A one o'clock dinner featured a white wedding cake with fifty pink candles and pink carnations. old friends visited in the afternoon and Mr. G. C. Richardson gave an address. Hospital Transfer for Jack Moore After Pneumonia
