Suicide at Bingham Springs the plain death by own action
Vincent Konasele, a 47 year old laborer from Willamette valley, shot himself at Bingham Springs after deliberate preparations. A 45 calibre revolver was tied to a fence post and fired into his breast, the bullet passing through his body and heart. An eye witness, operator Swayne of the O R N office, reported the shot and found Konasek dead. Coroner T M Henderson and M A Rader proceeded to conduct an inquest by freight train. Despondency said to be the cause. Konasek had previously attempted suicide by mouth. He was single and had lived in Umatilla county since 1881.

Death of Jonesh Williams keeper of Mountain Home
The Pilot Rock Record notes the death of Joe William known as Mountain Home keeper after a short illness in Pilot Rock Sunday evening. He was buried Tuesday at 10 o clock. He leaves a wife two sons and a daughter. Pneumonia caused the death and cigarettes were linked to the illness in the report.
