At the high school auditorium on Tuesday night the Spirit of Christmas filled the stage with a cast led by Tommy and Alice Benson and a host of named performers. Christmas Programs At Athena Churches Delight Crowds
Athena churches drew large audiences Sunday night as children performed carols pantomimes and recitations. The Christian church featured a decorated tree red and green garlands and a Santa Claus treat while solos and ensembles highlighted the program. The Baptist Church also filled to capacity with Miss Helen Barrett and Mrs. Emmett Lee guiding the events which included adult helpers and multiple vocal and instrumental numbers. The Press could publish only part of the Christian church program last week.
