Stanton Dead at 72 in Athena Oregon
S. O. Stanton died Monday at 7 a.m. after years of paralysis and illness. Born February 9, 1837, in Clay county Missouri, he lived in Colorado and Montana before moving to Umatilla county Oregon in 1878. Survived by his wife Sarah F. Calvin and seven children, with five sons already dead. Funeral held at the Christian church Tuesday afternoon. attendance was large.

Plea of Guilty in Umatilla Land Fraud Case
