Thomas Davidson a wealthy farmer living near Jones in Washington was killed Monday afternoon when he attempted to step from an eastbound passenger train No 2. He fell under the wheels and one leg was torn off near the hip. He had been in Portland prior to the accident.

Weston Court Aims to Enforce Sunday Closing

Rev A L Thoroughman pastor of First Methodist Weston and A Phillips Weston pioneer met Deputy District Attorney John McCourt to push Sunday closing enforcement. They represent many Weston citizens seeking saloons closed, with charges of violators to be filed and sheriff sent to notify business men. McCourt said all sections will be enforced with no discrimination, effectively closing the entire Worton town.

Court Rules Land Transfer Valid Despite Minor Status

Judge W. R. Ellis dismissed defenses of minor status and alleged mental unsoundness in the real estate transfer of 180 acres in section 32 township 6 north range 85 to Eva Pearson. The court found the plaintiffs acted in good faith and upheld the August 14 1903 deed, with $5000 as reasonable value. Each side bears its own costs.
