Trophy Train Arrives April 8 To Showcase WWI Relics

Soldier Returns Home With War Bride Tale

Soldier Fred Geinnul of the 110th Engineers has arrived home after discharge at Camp Lewin Init wack. Mr. Gols ner, earlier employed at the Walters will in Pensleton, visits his mother in Athena this week. Reports say Monco Frome, of the 118th, also returned with a war bride, whom he wed abroad. Sid Barnes of the 116th notes the bride is a Belgian refugee whose father and brother were killed in the conflict.

Red Cross Roll of Honor and Call for June Garments

The Red Cross room lists Wednesday afternoon roll of honor: Mrs W K Wall, Mrs H Sanders, Mia W F Taylor, Miss A B Thompson, Mrs E A Dudley. Little Jack Harris Dies After Illness at Four

The four year old son of Mr and Mrs F A Harris died Sunday at the Fisher home in Athena. He had been in delicate health since birth and recently had measles. Doctors Sharp and Hurt failed to save him. The body was sent to Wilbur Kansas for burial with funeral in Wilbur. Jack Wilson Harris was born December 31 1914 and died March 20 1919 at four years two months and twenty days.

Well Driller Arrives in City With Wall Drilling Machine

A well driller named West and his RecA Weathon team brought a wall drilling machine to the city on South Third Street. After completing the wall, they plan to move to A Kirk's Home near Cannon's to drill a well to a depth of 85 feet.

Epworth League Rally Set for Monday in Walla Walla
