Death of Chris Lieb 87 Retired Atchison Expressman
Chris Lieb 87 of Atchison died early Friday from bronchial pneumonia at his home 725 Mound street. A German born veteran meat cutter and express wagon driver, he operated a meat shop and led an active life until illness. Funeral Sunday 3 PM at St Benedicts Church with burial at Mt Calvary. rosary 8:30 PM tonight at the residence. He married Pauline Schmidt in 1879. golden anniversary observed in 1929. Surviving relatives include five nieces and two nephews.

Mr and Mrs Henry Anderson of Netawaka marked 63 years of marriage after wedding on March 23 1869 in Cambridge Illinois. They moved to Linn County Iowa a year later then Kansas in 1880 settling in Netawaka where they have lived 48 years in the same house. Now 84 and 80 they remain active in church and close to friends.
