County to Pick Blossom Queen at Apple Festival
Atchison county will select the queen for the Apple Blossom festival to be held between April 15 and May 1. A two hour program in Atchison will feature speakers and a crown ceremony, with a tour of orchards across nine counties in Kansas, Missouri, and Nebraska. The queen will be chosen quietly by local officials, with a grand ball closing in St. Joe.

Driver Held After Accident In Atchison
Leonard Myers 40 and of 821 South Fifth entered a not guilty plea in city court to injuring another with an automobile while intoxicated. He was released on 750 bond.
