Two Hour Parking Limit Ordinance Expects Adoption
A new two hour parking limit ordinance is expected to be adopted soon. City officials say the measure aims to curb long parked vehicles in business districts and will set enforcement rules and penalties upon final approval.
Downtown Two Hour Parking Plan Aims to Ease Congestion
City commissioners study a proposed traffic ordinance limiting parking to two hours on 21 downtown blocks including Commercial Street from Third to Tenth and Kansas Avenue sections. The draft, likely to pass soon, also updates street car rules, raises speed limits to 15 mph on ordinary streets and 20 mph on through streets, and keeps a six mile limit at intersections.
