Mrs Nancy Tiffany Dies at 79 in Atchison County
Mrs Nancy Shanks Tiffany wife of the late C C Tiffany aged 79 died at 1 o clock this morning at the home of her niece Mrs Lin White north of Atchison after months of ill health. Funeral services will be held at 9 o'clock Thursday at St Benedict's church with burial in Mt Calvary cemetery. A rosary will be recited tonight at 8 at Lawin Douglas chapel. She was born June 17 1853 in Clark county Kentucky and came to Doniphan county as a child. She married C C Tiffany July 14 1868 at Doniphan and had one son Hugh B Tiffany who survives.

Origin under investigation. possible wiring fault. Firefighters contained tanks and prevented broader explosions. 35 000 gallons gasoline stored nearby. two terriers perished in the flames. All losses largely insured. a new one story replacement planned. 21 firefighters worked into the morning ensuring final containment.
