William Dunkel 70, longtime Atchison automobile and real estate man, died at 12:30 p m in White Cloud at his daughter Mrs W D Bevens home. He came to Kansas from Ohio in 1885, led Muscotah as mayor, later ran a flour mill, then moved to Atchison in 1916 to work in real estate and autos until retirement three years ago. Cause listed as diabetes and complications. He survived by his widow and daughter. Funeral Thursday at 2:30 p m from Muscotah Methodist Church. George Harcuff to retrieve body.
