Miss Grace Mae Williams wed George Eldred Marsh in a September noon ceremony at the Williams home. Rev. L. E. Conner officiated. The event featured Maud Cross singing and a white crepe de chine gown. Afterward a dinner followed and guests traveled from Austin Sugar Grove and Aurora. The couple planned to visit Indiana and southern Illinois before settling in Marshalltown Iowa. The groom has run the Racket store since moving from Dysart, Iowa, two years after purchasing it.

Papers Regulated Again Postmaster General Announces Law
Postmaster General Hitchcock outlines the newspaper and periodical publicity act set to take effect with the first returns due October 1. Publishers must file sworn statements detailing ownership and staff, with extra disclosures for corporations and average paid circulation for dailies. Editorial matter must be labeled advertisement under penalties. The law will affect about 18 000 weeklies and nearly all second class papers except a few religious or scientific titles. A basket social and play will be held at Wagner school October 4 with a district concert and entertainment, admission by small fee. baskets admitted free for ladies.

County Fair in Lee County Shows Strong Year and Plans

Lahman Farm Sold at Auction Near Franklin Grove
J. E. Wolfe bought the Joshua E. Lahman farm at public auction last Friday paying 184.75 per acre for a total of 29 560 dollars. The farm lies about a half mile south of Franklin Grove. Ashton residents regret the Wolfe family's move from the area while Franklin Grove welcomes new neighbors.
