Dixon board room last week set the 1914 county levy at 568,820, down from 565,000 last year due to the final 610,000 court house bonds being paid. Mother's Pension fund was cut from 54,400 to 52,700. The Haskell Memorial Odd Fellows building at Lee Center was dedicated last week with a smooth ceremony led by Mrs. Haskell and Rev. Dr. Kempster. Grand Conductor W. H. Pease of Harvey presided over the dedication. Rev. C. E. Sayre of Freeport spoke on the mission of Odd Fellowship. The Dixon lodge Rebekahs drill team performed an exhibition drill, followed by a grand ball in the evening.
