Krug Golden Wedding Celebrated by Large Family
Mr and Mrs Adam Krug marked their 50th wedding anniversary with 18 children 28 grandchildren and many relatives. They married August 30 1869 in Dixon and lived in Ashton Chicago and Rochelle before settling in Ashton. A gold and white decor theme highlighted the event as kin from Illinois Iowa and Michigan gathered to honor the couple and present gold coin gifts.

Funeral at 2 PM with Rev Kempster and Rev Yeakel. interment Woodside cemetery. Born November 22 1865 Bradford township. married November 3 1876 to John Ullrich. Survived by three children, Mrs Lacey Dunseth, Mrs Clara Starks, Roy Ullrich. mother Magdalena Weishaar. siblings Conrad Spokane and Jacob Howard. sister Mrs George Fox. Oakdale camp meeting from August 21 to 31 drew a large crowd with rising attendance over the past decade. Sixteen dormitory rooms added at a cost of $1000. no admission, expenses over $1500 funded by a generous group. Forty three visitors from Ashton and Bradford joined the pastor. outcomes reported as souls saved and many professing full surrender. Visitors Mrs G W Messer and Amanda left for Dixon, while Mrs Lillian Vogel returned from Dixon after a week with her sister.

Harvey Heibenthal won 2nd on yellow oats rye and winter wheat. Mrs. Harvey Heibenthal took 1st on Toulouse gerse and 1st on rye and white bread 1st on sunshine and fruit cake 1st on sugar cookies and 2nd on oatmeal and molasses ginger cookies and 2nd on wheat buns. J H Hewert won 1st on a Percheron yearling and 2nd on a three year old. William Killmer claimed many poultry and cattle prizes with $28 and $18 respectively. 25 records with each phonograph given free while supplies last. BILLMIRD.

Linnle Vaupell died at 65 years in McHenry Illinois after a long life born in Germany in 1854 and married Jacob J. Vaupell in 1872 Reynolds township Lee County. Survived by husband two children Marie McIntosh and H H Vaupell of Chicago, four sisters and two brothers, five grandchildren and two great grandchildren. Funeral at 2012 Jackson Boulevard Chicago conducted by Rev Frank A Hosmer with Eastern Star presence.
