Ashton Rebekah Lodge No 497 instituted last Wednesday with sixty charter members. Deputy Grand Master Miss Carrie Smith presided as officers were installed, including Noble Grand Mrs Ora Beach and Secretary Mrs Nellie Hart. A banquet followed with sandwiches, fried chicken, salads, ice cream and cake.

No Bibles or lesson papers allowed. The losing side will provide refreshments for a future Sunday social.

Governor Deneen to Speak in Ashton and County Tour
