R H Hambley of San Diego and W A Peck of Los Angeles drove a funeral hearse carrying a close friend's body from San Francisco toward New York. The deceased, an automobile manufacturer, wished to be buried in New York, and the promise to transport the remains by road was kept. Sophomores Entertain at Freshman Social Night
Last Friday the Sophomore class hosted the first school year social in the opera house for incoming Freshmen. Purple, gold and white decor brightened the room while forty chairs formed a circle around a central rug. After games and impromptu acts by students and teachers, the Sophomores performed songs and stunts then hosted ice cream and cake, marking one of the most enjoyable events of the year.
