Funeral at Grove Church for Longtime Resident Lewis Drummond
Lewis Drummond a pioneer resident of the community for over 75 years died at his daughter's home in Oregon Thursday morning at five o'clock aged 80. Born November 30 1834 in Licking County Ohio he moved to Ogle County as a child. He married Eliza Ann Taylor in 1856 and survived by three children Leon Dixon Andrew Ashton and Mrs Victor Jones Oregon. Funeral Saturday at 11 at Washington Grove Christian church conducted by Rev Fremont McCague burial beside his wife.

Last Wednesday evening at the bride's home on Vermont street Miss Florence Drake married Roland G. Taylor of Waterloo Iowa. A large company witnessed the ceremony. Mrs Taylor has lived in Waterloo four years and is noted for musical talent enjoyed by local audiences. Mr Taylor is son of Dr and Mrs T G Taylor of West Fourth Street and has resided in this city for years. The Philatheas will hold a thimble party at the Presbyterian church parlor today hosted by Misses Griffith Krug and Mrs Hunter and Mrs Ogle.
