Webster Couple Celebrate 20th Wedding Anniversary
The home of Mr. and Mrs. W. W. Webster near Amboy hosted about forty neighbors and relatives for their 20th anniversary on a Saturday evening. The event featured music, an elaborate late supper, and a gift of silverware. The couple married twenty years ago in Dixon at Rev. Wm. Hartman’s Lutheran parsonage and have since lived near Amboy and Ashton before settling near Amboy.

Born in 1851 and 1855 respectively, the couple married in 1875 and have deep ties to Eagle Grove.

Funeral Held for Mrs Rebecca A Brown in Oregon and Washington Grove
Mrs Rebecca A Brown wife of Rev George A Brown died at her Oregon home from a weak heart. Born Rebecca Paddock in Ogle County on April 22 1842 she was 63 years 6 months 18 days old. She leaves three daughters Lethy Blocher Franklin Grove Godfrey Oak Park and Lucy Jacobson Oregon and a son who died young. Burial was in Washington Grove cemetery after services at her home and at the Washington Grove Christian church conducted by Rev R W an and others.

Mrs L N Wisman formerly of this city died last Wednesday evening after a two year illness due to a complication of diseases. She was 56 years old, born October 3 1834 in York.
