Emmet Siple Blacksmith of Larrabee Dies After Illness
Emmet Siple, longtime Larrabee resident and blacksmith, died November 4 after a decade in a chair. Born March 28 1858 in Galena Ohio he farmed in South Dakota before moving to Larrabee in 1898. He served on the school board and town council and held lodge offices in M W A I C C F Knights of Pythias. He married Hannah Yorty in 1885 and Catherine Smith in 1899. survivors include his widow two sons and several grandchildren.
