Morris Pioneer Dies at 80 in Illinois After Long Farm Life
John Morris born June 11 1842 near London England died October 24 1922 at Herbert's Inn Ashton Illinois. He married Mary Hannah Law November 19 1866 and immigrated to America landing in New York January 1 1867. He lived in Franklin Grove then farmed near Light House in Ogle County moving to Franklin Grove in 1902. Survived by ten of thirteen children including Claus Bloom George Morris Joseph Edward Jesse John William and Owen with many grandchildren. Funeral at Lighthouse church with interment in Lighthouse cemetery.
