Short funeral service held Monday at the home of his brother Samuel I Wood after he died at Eagle Grove Iowa. Cause was chronic nephritis. Interment in Ashton cemetery with Masonic pallbearers. Survived by son Harry Charles City Iowa daughter Mrs Lottie Shean Eagle Grove sister Mrs Priscilla Sell Redfield SD and brothers Lyman Mt Carroll Lewis Ashton. He lived 71 years seven months twenty days.

The 14 year old Leo Schmall died from pneumonia after a two year illness. He lived at Lee Center and attended Ashton schools. Funeral services will be held Thursday at two in the Presbyterian church, with burial planned in West Brooklyn after the roads improve.
