New Cigar Box Ruling Prohibits Dummy Boxes May First
The Dixon Sun reports a new order in force by May 1 prohibiting dummy and empty cigar boxes with factory marks from dealers. The ruling warns seizure and forfeiture of such boxes and penalties under revised statutes for violations. Also notes no telephone service on Farmer's Telephone Company lines Sundays 7 to 9 pm and lists local subscription updates, school district report, Panama Canal blacksmith plans, a marriage, smallpox outbreak in DeKalb, and school closures with vaccinations underway.
