Two Pass Away Old Resident of Ogle County Died
Melle L. Businga born in Hanover Germany April 3 1831 died at his Franklin Grove Illinois home Saturday March 17 1906 aged 74 years 11 months and 14 days after a stroke of apoplexy. He came to this country in 1855 and lived on farms in Winnebago and Ogle counties before returning near Franklin Grove. He married Lena Nelsen in 1860 and had three children Nellie died in 1879 Sigel resides on the farm. He served as Presbyterian elder and was active in church life. Burial at Pecatonica follows a brief service at the Presbyterian church conducted by Rev. T E Stevens. Relatives were notified of his death.

The Franklin Grove Reporter changes hands with Chas A Bancroft selling to E P Harrison who will assume control on April first. Harrison, about twenty one, comes from Kendall County Record at Yorkville and will run the paper after the transfer.

Sunday School Organized Near Mt Pleasant School House
A Sunday School was formed last Sunday near Mt Pleasant school house three miles north of town. It will be non denom inational, with four classes and four teachers, about thirty members, expected to reach forty by next Sunday. Officers named include E F Chapman superintendent and Miss Bessie Nettleton secretary treasurer. Classes meet Sundays at 2 30, with a social fundraiser at Frank Davis home Friday evening. Also, a Republican Caucus to select a county central committeeman and thirteen delegates will be held at the town hall Saturday March 24 at 7 00, ahead of the county convention May 3 and the primary April 28.

Narrow Escape As Runaway Wagon Harms Chapman Boys
Frank Philip Chapman and his two sons were returning from Rochelle when their wagon ran away beside the Hohena Canning Factory amid rough roads. The team bolted after frightened by barrels, throwing out the boys and wrecking the wagon. The father escaped injury and the boys were taken home for care after a doctor was summoned.

Miss Nellie Zeller received a surprise birthday party from her Sunday School class with a Bible keepsake, ice cream, cake and fruit. Lydia Wahl also celebrated her sixty fourth birthday at the New Commercial hotel with speeches and toasts. A Patrick social at George Krug’s home raised 25 for the Presbyterian church, featuring a program, music by Rochelle’s orchestra, and 156 attendees. Regular service and congregational meeting plans follow at the Methodist and Presbyterian congregations.
