A new Northwestern time card took effect Sunday altering train numbers while keeping local times. Sterling passenger trains formerly 17 and 18 become 27 and 28, trains 13 and 14 become 17 and 18, and Sunday trains 27 and 28 are renamed 99 and 100.
W T McClure formerly of Eldora Iowa has leased the Hart hotel from F S and W H Hart for one year with a four year option. The property is being painted and decorated and will open as soon as work is finished likely by July first. McClure will operate on both American and European plans. Dr George C Tallerday Jr now handles the office in Bremer’s absence, bringing his medical and ocular expertise to the community.

She describes lake views Hudson scenery Buffalo Batavia Albany Poughkeepsie and New York landmarks including Times Square Grand Central Terminal Coney Island Luna Park and Bronx Park before sailing away with vivid impressions of towns canoes and attractions.
Unusual absence of W A Hunt of Lafayette from this week’s county board session marks the first time in twenty years he missed a meeting. Hunt had traveled to Spokane Washington to visit his son and daughter and expects to be away about ten days.
E F Gehant owner of Hotel Dewey sells the hotel to Frank H Barnes of Aurora. Gehant will remain with the property for now, after many years of popular stewardship. The Dixon Citizen notes Gehant’s long service and the transfer.
