The graduating class of 1906 has issued invitations for their commencement exercises to be held Friday evening June 15 at Schucharts Opera House. The class colors are violet and white with the white rose as the flower, and the motto Gradatim meaning Step by Step. Rev. Steward Graduating Exercises Draw Crowds at Steward M E Church
On Friday evening June 1 the annual graduating exercises were held at the Steward M E Church. The house was crowded and many were turned away. Graduates included Tomina eee and Stephen Kirby from Steward High School taught by Prof F D Chadwick. Country schools were represented by Birdie Walker and Grace Thorpe from the Thorpe School and Maude Kersten and Della Fell from the Stony Ridge School. County Superintendent I F Edwards presented diplomas.

lightning kills twenty three sheep in storm claim paid
During the last storms S. T. Zeller lost twenty three sheep to lightning. The claim was with the American Insurance Co. with Geo. Garrett as agent. Three appraisers T. H. Quick Willard Knapp and C. A Burnham set a valuation of 100.05 dollars. Twenty two hours after proof of loss the draft for the full amount was received.
