Two Pass Away Funeral Held Saturday Morning
Obituaries report the July 4 1906 death of Capitola Clemans wife of James Clemans at her home north of the city. Born November 12 1861 in Ogle County she joined the Washington Grove Christian Church at 10 and married James Clemans September 10 1879. She leaves three children Glennie died young and Clinton C and Mable B with other relatives. The Washington Grove Church service was led by Rev Frezuoni McCague. Burial at Washington Grove Cemetery.

Large Hay Barn Erected in Sheep Yards East of Town
Big Hay Barn owned by S. T. Zeller is under construction in the sheep yards on the town's east side. The pole barn measures 224 feet by 28, with eight foot pole spacing and posts sunk six and four feet. Roof to be felted, capacity between two and three hundred tons, cost about $1000.

Henry Michaels of Daysville died after an east bound train struck him as he tried to cross the Oregon bridge on the Fourth. The hat was found and identified. body not yet recovered. Frankin Grove Camp Meeting Draws Big Crowd and Incidents
A week at Franklin Grove camp meeting drew 2 000 attendees with forty one tickets sold at the depot. Speakers included Presiding Elder Horn and Rev. Sime ter, covering duties, tithing, Naaman, and daily Christian service plus reports on Epworth and Junior Leagues. A fast eastbound derailment near Rochelle injured several, with Michael Marr killed and Ole Gunderson hurt. local residents and travelers were affected as trains passed.
