Reynolds Tax Over Twenty Thousand Dollars Levy

Reynolds township property owners are asked to contribute just over 20 000 for spring taxes with allocations including county road and bridge high and non high school districts. St John’s Lutheran Church will hold services in English next Sunday and Sunday school teachers meet Thursday. Pieppert dies prominent Rock Falls resident at 71

John Pieppert of Rock Falls a brother of several local women died at his home Monday last week in his 72nd year. Born June 22 1847 in Hessia Germany he came to the U S in 1872 and started a meat market and stock business. He moved to Rock Falls in 1874 and married Amelia Harthun in 1874. He leaves his wife four sons six grandchildren three sisters and a brother. He was active in the Methodist church and the Odd Fellows lodge. Funeral from his home with several pastors in attendance.

Mrs Booth Laid Rest In Illinois After Long Illness

Fannie Collins Booth born England April 21 1841 died February 9 1919 at Aurora Illinois after lingering illness. She came to the United States at 15 settled near Lanark Illinois with her parents. Survived by husband John W Booth children and several grandchildren stepchildren and many relatives. Funeral at Antioch church conducted by J Lindsay with Siple assisting, burial at Chapel Hill cemetery. Buy War Savings Stamps.
