Early morning blaze from an overturned lantern at the Lincoln Shumway place south of town wipes out a barn, corn crib, hen house and outbuildings. Livestock including a prized Percheron named Jake and several cows perish, with extensive crop and equipment losses. The fire spreads rapidly under a west wind. neighbors assist and the house is saved. The family carries some insurance.

The Reynolds community will host several weddings this week including Luella Danekas and Harry Kersten at 2 PM at Reynolds Evangelical Church and Irma Erbes and Emery Erbes at the United Evangelical parsonage. Also Schaneberg and Neuman wed in Reynolds with travel plans after the ceremony. The Illinois Agricultural Association outlines a 1922 program with a $42,000 salary budget and a $100,000 reduction from 1921, appointing Geo. A. Fox as executive secretary and creating a new Department of Cooperative Marketing led by Howard Lenard.

The Pastime Theatre lists Buried Treasure on Saturday February 18, Wallace Reid in The Source Monday February 20 and Neil Hart in a five reel western on Wednesday February 22. Also watch for the Gold Fish at Charters' store with more to come.
Reynolds church holds prelock preaching and quarterly conference Thursday at 7 30 p m the last of the year presiding elder W F Klingbeil attends Sunday services with Sunday school at 1 30 and preaching and communion at 2 30 Pastor William Albrecht leads. A Bekah Valentine party at Odd Fellows hall drew about fifty attendees with music by the Melody Four.
Illinois sheriffs pursued Lloyd W. Robinson of Amboy and confederates for months of robberies. A large cache of loot including typewriters, fur, silverware, diamonds, and medical instruments was found at Mrs. Lew Howard's Amboy home. Arrests included Louis Howard, 18, and Robbins's step-mother.
